Bishops Conlon and Siegel to Lead Pilgrimage for Life
Over 200 members of the Diocese of Joliet will join Bishop R. Daniel Conlon and Bishop Joseph Siegel in Washington, D.C., to pray for the legal protection of unborn children. The vast majority of the group consists of pro-life high school students from around the diocese, so please keep the Bishops and our inspiring young people in your prayers.
On Sunday evening, January 22nd, Bishops Conlon and Siegel will concelebrate at the annual Vigil Mass for Life at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Over 10,000 Catholics from around the country attend the liturgy and celebrate the Gospel of Life (click here to see a video of last year's Mass: www.usccb.org).
On Monday, January 23rd, the pilgrims from the Diocese of Joliet will join with a couple hundred thousand fellow citizens in the civil rights movement of our day, the March for Life at the National Mall. Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas and of the unborn, pray for us!

Te słowa nadziei wypowiedziane przez proroka Izajasza przemawiają szczególnie do ludzi, którzy zmagają się z przeciwnościami losu i od dawna wyglądają w ciemnościach promyka nadziei. My, biskupi katoliccy stanu Illinois, pragniemy u progu Nowego Roku przekazać słowa takiej samej nadziei ludziom zmagającym się z innego rodzaju przeciwnościami czyli rodzinom imigrantów.
