All women of the diocese are invited to join their sisters in Council along with Moderators and guests for a weekend of prayerful Liturgies, enriching workshops, inspirational speakers and great company!
“Unified By The Spirit” Through Our Lady of Good Counsel will take place on October 22, 23, and 24, 2010 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kankakee. Here is a preview of our convention days.
Friday, October 22 is for the committee, but all are welcome to share in the celebration of the Liturgy, casual dinner, convention set up and a fun evening!
Saturday, October 23 is opening session day! It will include the business session and Mass. Bishop Joseph Mark Siegel will preside along with Diocesan Moderator, Rev. John Sebahar, and priests from the diocese. We are delighted to announce that Bishop Siegel will be our keynote speaker. We will share the “Saints and Sisters” luncheon, speakers, officer elections, formal banquet with entertainment and so much more!
Sunday, October 24 holds a prayer service, a lovely brunch, business session, speakers/workshops and election results. Bishop J. Peter Sartain will preside at our Sunday Liturgy and install 2010/12 JDCCW Officers.
Please plan on joining us for the weekend. A new “Share the Spirit” registration will also be available for those of you who can only attend one day. Your JDCCW Convention Committee is hard at work putting the final touches on this wonderful event. Complete information and registration forms will be sent to all parish and deanery CCW presidents in August. All the registration materials will be available on the JDCCW website by mid August.
