Available for 2013-2014 – Diocese of Joliet Catholic Elementary School Principal Positions

Composed of a vibrant network of 55 unique learning communities that serve a diverse population of over 20,000 students in five northern Illinois counties, Diocese of Joliet Catholic elementary schools offer each child in grade preschool through eight a world-class education that is rooted in traditional Catholic values. Applications for faith-filled, passionate, and dedicated educators to serve as principals during the coming (2013-2014) school year are currently being accepted. Candidates must be practicing Catholics who are committed to Catholic education. In addition, aspiring principals must possess advanced degrees in educational leadership, hold Illinois Type 75 (General Administrative) certification, and have at least five years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic school. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The deadline for receipt of complete application packets is May 1, 2013.

St. Mary Catholic Elementary School, located in Plano, Illinois (Kendall County), offers high quality education that is rooted in traditional Catholic values to students enrolled in   preschool through grade eight. This Diocese of Joliet elementary school offers an integrated faith formation program, rigorous academic offerings, and a variety of curricular and extra-curricular programs and activities designed to ensure that all St. Mary students are formed in faith, educated in excellence, and are sent to serve.

Position Available: Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction

Bishop McNamara High School, Kankakee

 

Bishop McNamara Catholic High School, a Catholic co-educational school dedicated to maximizing the potential of its students, spiritually, morally, and intellectually, is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction.

 

The Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction will work closely with the Principal and the Department Chairpersons in the ongoing process of using research-based data to analyze and continue to enhance curriculum and instruction within the school. Ensuring instructional and academic quality at Bishop McNamara Catholic High School will be the top priority of the Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction.

 

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and/or applicable graduate coursework and an Illinois Type 75 (General Administrative) endorsement.. Experience and expertise in the field of curriculum and instruction, technology integration, professional development, and a passion for teaching and learning are essential. An interest in working with students of diverse backgrounds, an appreciation of the value of a Catholic education, and a willingness to be actively involved in all facets of school life will be highly valued.
