Holy Trinity Elementary School
Westmont, IL
HISTORY & ENROLLMENT Established in 1950, Holy Trinity has a 2006-2007 enrollment of 264 in its preschool and kindergarten thru 8th grade program. MISSION The educational mission of the Catholic Church embraces three dimensions: 1. The message revealed by God; 2. Community in the life of the Holy Spirit; and, 3. Service to the Christian community and to the entire human community. Holy Trinity School participated in this mission of the Church by being a fully accredited co-educational Catholic School striving to create and build an educational community of faith where the message of Christ is taught and lived, where community is fostered in an atmosphere of respect, love, caring and sharing, and where the spirit of Christian service is encouraged. In this regard, the school provides opportunities to pursue academic excellence, build meaningful relationships, learn responsible citizenship, and develop skills for ethical leadership. We at Holy Trinity believe that parents are the primary educators of their children and that parental involvement and support are necessary to ensure the accomplishment of our educational mission. We further believe that each person is a unique creation of God, endowed with certain talents and abilities. In the educational and spiritual atmosphere of Holy Trinity School each one is encouraged to develop a fully human life based on his/her uniqueness. Students become aware of their role as Catholics and of their rich Catholic heritage and are encouraged to become involved Catholic members of society.
