St. Matthew Elementary School
Glendale Heights, IL
HISTORY & ENROLLMENT Established in 1964, St. Matthew had a 2006-2007 enrollment of 346 in its early learning center, preschool and K - 8th Grade program. MISSION St. Matthew Catholic School is an integral part of the parish community of St. Matthew Church. Our mission is to educate the whole child spiritually, intellectually, physically, morally, socially and emotionally. We worship as a community, teach the gospel message, and instill Catholic values and doctrine in our daily lives. By giving service to God and others, we strive to build respect for life and a sense of community spirit. We embrace the cultural diversity of the children. We believe that their individual gifts and unique talents should be nurtured in the pursuit of academic excellence. We recognize that the parents are the primary educators of their children, and as such, are included in school programs, religious and sacramental preparations, consultations and Parent Organization.
