Mission Statement

Inspired by the Spirit and called by the Church of Joliet,
we the Diocesan Pastoral Council,
composed of laity, clergy, and religious,
seek to serve
and represent the People of God
in the parishes and other communities of the Diocese.

As an advisory group to the Bishop,
we are called
to dialogue and reflect
on the directions of the Diocesan church
based on Scripture, Church tradition
and the needs of God’s People in the modern world.

We pledge our collective strength and vision
to carry out the goals of the Second Diocesan Synod
and to guide the future of the Church of Joliet.
