The Catholic Education Foundation accomplishes an important mission in our Diocese by providing financial assistance to students in our Catholic schools whose families cannot afford the cost of tuition.
The influence of a Catholic school education is significant. Your gift this year to the Catholic Education Foundation is particularly crucial. Many families in our Catholic schools have felt the effects of the financial crisis. Please take a few moments to meet Ed. He is a family man living in our diocese who has been influenced by his Catholic school education. When Ed was a young child, his family received assistance so that he could continue his education in a Catholic school.

About the Catholic Education Foundation
The Catholic Education Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit charitable corporation dedicated to the advancement of Catholic education in the Diocese of Joliet. The Foundation’s mission is to further educational services by providing long-term financial stability to Catholic education.
To meet this goal, the Foundation raises funds to have the financial resources available to give every child a chance to receive a Catholic education. The seven counties of the Diocese of Joliet are blessed to have fifty-six elementary schools and eight high schools, each striving to bring the word of God to children in a Catholic faith-based environment.
The Foundation directly distributes hundreds of need-based scholarships each year. In addition, the Foundation disburses funds to individual schools needing financial assistance.
The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors, which includes both clergy and lay leaders from the diocese.
