The Catholic Education Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit charitable corporation dedicated to the advancement of Catholic education in the Diocese of Joliet. The Foundation’s mission is to further educational services by providing long-term financial stability to Catholic education.
To meet this goal, the Foundation raises funds to have the financial resources available to give every child a chance to receive a Catholic education. The seven counties of the Diocese of Joliet are blessed to have fifty-six elementary schools and eight high schools, each striving to bring the word of God to children in a faith-based environment.
The Foundation directly distributes hundreds of need-based scholarships each year. In addition, the Foundation disburses funds to individual schools needing financial assistance.
The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors, which includes both clergy and lay leaders from the diocese.
