Catholic Education Foundation
Founded in 1996, the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable corporation dedicated to the advancement of Catholic education in the Diocese of Joliet and its seven counties, including DuPage, Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, Kanakee, Kendall and Will.
The Foundation's mission is to raise resources to allow children in need to attend elementary and secondary Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Joliet.
To meet this goal, the Foundation raises funds and directly distributes more than $1.8 million of need-based scholarships benefitting students and parishioners each year. The Foundation serves fourty-eight elementary schools and seven high schools. It is managed by a Board of Directors, which includes both clergy, educators and lay leaders from the diocese.
The Catholic Education Foundation supports grade schools, high schools, parish ministries, and adminstrative leadership training.
