Be sure you have indicated both professional and personal sources of reference with telephone numbers at which the individuals can be reached during office hours. Failure to complete any portion of the Diocesan Application will result in applications not being considered.

Completed application material, will be forwarded with those from other applicants for the same position. The Director will review all folders and decide which applicants are to be scheduled for an interview. When the position has been filled, all applicants who have completed application forms, whether or not they were chosen for interview, will be informed of that fact.

Part-time Religion Teacher

Mount Assisi  Academy is seeking a part-time Religion teacher, secondary teaching experience preferred, one section of Freshmen religion which focuses on the Introduction to Catholicism, two sections of Junior religion focuses on Peace & Justice/Morality. Class size approximately 20-25 students per class. Classes meet from 7:40 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Class periods approximately 45 minutes in length. Description: St. Irenaeus is a Catholic Parish in the south suburbs rooted in and committed to a Vatican II vision of Church. The faith community is seeking a part-time Coordinator of Religious Education. The CRE is generally responsible for grades pk-8, sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation for children and adults. Also included would be the recruitment, training and ongoing support for volunteer catechists and the spiritual formation for parents. A knowledge of and experience with whole community catechesis is desirable.  Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

Applicant must possess at least a licentiate in canon law (JCL) from a Pontifical Institute and have at least two (2) years of experience in tribunal work, especially in the area of marriage cases.
