Philippines January 2008 
     -Two priests 
     -Two general surgeons 
     -A dentist 
     -Two thyroid surgeons (ENT) 
     -One gynecologist 
     -Two plastic surgeons 
     -Two ophthalmologists 
     -8 OR nurses 
     -4 Recovery room nurses 
     -8 nurse anesthetists or anesthesiologists 
     -2 internal medicine physicians 
     -2 advanced practice nurses- cardiology 
     -2 office nurses

Clerical Support Volunteer

The Catholic Schools Office is looking for help with various basic office tasks such as filing, copying, and phones. Help with preparing mailings is also needed.

 
Basic Computer Help Volunteer

The Joliet Diocesan Life Office needs help with data entry and other basic computer work.

 
Daybreak Center Volunteer

Catholic Charities seeks volunteers to assist at its Daybreak Center. Daybreak Center is the largest shelter of its kind in Will County and provides emergency shelter for up to 100 persons each night in addition to a variety of other emergency services. Volunteers are always needed in many areas at the Center to assist in the programs we provide to the homeless and low income population. Transitional Housing Mentor Training Volunteer

Catholic Charities seeks mentors to work directly with homeless families supporting them with their daily journey. Mentors are compassionate, non-judgemental, respectful and sensitive to the confidentiality required to preserve the dignity of the family. Training starts April 9th and runs 4 Wednesday evenings, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  Call Robin Hallett at 630-495-8008.

 
Mailing Help Volunteer

The Joliet Diocesan Life Office often needs help preparing mailings.

 
Senior Companion Volunteers

Catholic Charities is seeking Senior Companion Volunteers who will visit the frail and elderly in their homes. Must be age 60 or older and able to volunteer 20 hours per week. Volunteers receive a tax-free stipend and other benefits.

 
Simple Clerical Support Volunteer

The Religious Education Office is looking for help with various basic office tasks.

 
Administrative Volunteer

Catholic Charities in Joliet, IL needs administrative help on an on-going basis.  An administrative volunteer would be asked to do filing of accounting records, assist in regular mailings (for example, to board members), organize and assemble binders for presentations / meetings, etc.

 
Bulk Mailing Help Volunteer

The Office of Ministry Formation always needs help preparing bulk mailings.

 
Parish Contact Volunteer

The Office of Ministry Formation frequently needs persons to help inform parishes about the programs available through the agency.
