Parish Support

One of the main objectives of Laudato Si’ Ministries is to accompany all of our parishes and schools as they undertake care for creation initiatives on the parish level. We are here to provide resources, research grants, and strategize to help create an integral ecology mindset at your parish. For support contact, Kayla S. Jacobs, Director of Programs for Laudato Si’ Ministries, at: kjacobs@dioceseofjoliet.org.

Opportunities:

  • Interested in starting a parish Laudato Si’ Committee? We offer a training and resources!
  • Already have a parish Laudato Si’ Committee but want more support and ideas? We will be happy to attend one of your meetings and offer consultation.
  • We research grants that could be used to support parish Laudato Si’ initiatives and/or community gardens. In some occasion we will help write the grant.
  • Invite us to present at an event, speak to the youth group, school, or faith formation, or have a table after Mass.
  • Planning a green event? We can help you plan your green initiatives. We have reusable plates and silverware and compost bins that could be borrowed for parish events.
