These monthly protests punctuate the ongoing Life Support effort, offering prayer and assistance for Planned Parenthood clients every hour the facility is open. Thursday, March 25, 2010, Feast of the Annunciation Day of the Unborn: All Day Prayer of Adoration. Adoration will begin after the 8:30 AM Mass. Benediction will begin at 6:45 PM. The Feast of the Annunciation Mass will begin at 7:00 PM. Celebrant will be Rev. Peter Jarosz, Pastor. All are welcome to attend at Christ the King, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard. Saturday, March 27, 2010, 9 AM to 3 PM, Lenten Day Retreat for Healthcare Workers:  The Council of Catholic Nurses, Diocese of Joliet, would like to invite all nurses, healthcare workers, caregivers, families and friends. The theme is “Nursing with the Hands of Jesus:  A Guide to Nurses for Divine Mercy.”  It will be held at the Portiuncula Center for Prayer in Frankfort, Illinois, and will be a day of reflection, prayer and Eucharist Celebration .   Cost for the day with meals is $30.00. Speakers include David Bereit, founder of 40 Days for Life, as well as Rita Marker, an international expert on euthanasia and assisted suicide. Francis Cardinal George will be present to give remarks on Pope Benedict's most recent Encyclical, Caritas in Veritate, and Bob Gilligan from the Catholic Conference of Illinois will give us the most pressing legislative updates from Springfield! This event is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Chicago Respect Life Office and Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life. Admission is $35.00 per person which includes continental breakfast, lunch, parking, and materials. 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Fr. Jarosz will lead the faithful in prayer at Aanchor Medical Center, 1186 Roosevelt Rd. Glen Ellyn.

Friday, April 9, 2010, 7:00 PM, Celebration of Life Film Festival: Immaculate Conception Elmhurst Respect Life Ministry is hosting a FREE Film Festival in the Costello Hall at Immaculate Conception High School. "The Jeweler Shop" will be the final movie shown. Immaculate Conception High School's address is 217 S. Friday, May 7, Saturday, May 8, & Sunday, May 9, 2010, ONE MILLION ROSARIES FOR UNBORN BABIES: The intention for this Rosary will be for the end to the surgical and non-surgical killing of unborn human persons. In order to be a participant, a person will need to pray at least one Rosary for the above-stated intention, and the Rosary will need to be prayed on May 7th, 8th, or 9th. People are encouraged to pray more than one Rosary, but this is not required. The Friday, May 7th date is particularly intended for students to pray the Rosary at schools. The Sunday, May 9th date is particularly intended for people at parishes to pray the Rosary before or after Masses.
