Welcome to “Catholics Come Home Joliet!” You may be aware that the Diocese of Joliet shares this important project with the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Diocese of Rockford, and I am pleased that you have found your way to our website. Perhaps you have seen one of the many television spots we are sponsoring during December and January in English, Spanish and Polish. If not, you can view them on this website! In a sense, the Lord Jesus is constantly calling all of us to “Come Home.” I like to reflect on the number of times he issued similar invitations: “Come, and you will see!” “Come, follow me!” “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men!” “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” And to St. Peter, when he saw Jesus walking on the water and asked if he could do the same, Jesus answered confidently, “Come!” As your bishop, with Jesus I say to you, “Come! Come see with the eyes of faith. Come follow in Jesus’ footsteps. Come help gather more disciples for the Lord. Come find rest and peace. Come learn of the Lord’s compassion and forgiveness of sin. Come find how God’s grace helps us do even what seems impossible!”

Bienvenidos a “¡Católicos Regresen a Casa – Diócesis de Joliet!” Ustedes tal vez ya sepan que la Diócesis de Joliet comparte este importante proyecto con la Arquidiócesis de Chicago y la Diócesis de Rockford, y me agrada mucho, que ustedes hayan encontrado nuestra página en la Internet. Tal vez ustedes han visto en la televisión alguno de los muchos anuncios que estamos patrocinando durante los meses de diciembre y enero en inglés, español y polaco. ¡Si no los han visto, les invito a que los vean en esta página del Internet!
En cierto modo, nuestro Señor Jesús está constantemente llamándonos a “Regresar a Casa.” Me agrada reflexionar en la cantidad de veces que Él hizo invitaciones similares: “¡Vengan y vean!” “¡Vengan y síganme!” “¡Vengan conmigo y los haré pescadores de hombres! “¡Vengan a mí, todos los que están cansados y agobiados, y yo los aliviaré!” Y a san Pedro, cuando vio a Jesús caminando sobre el agua y le preguntó si él podía hacer lo mismo, Jesús le contestó con confianza: “¡Ven!”
Como Jesús y como su obispo, les digo: “¡Vengan! Vengan y vean con los ojos de la fe. Vengan y sigan en los pasos de Jesús. Vengan y ayuden a juntar más discípulos para el Señor. Vengan y encuentren descanso y paz. Vengan y aprendan de la compasión del Señor y su perdón de los pecados. ¡Vengan a comprender cómo la gracia de Dios nos ayuda a hacer hasta lo que parece imposible!”Lee mas

Być może wiecie już, że Diecezja Joliet dzieli ten program z Archidiecezją Chicago i Diecezją Rockford a ja jestem szczęśliwy, że trafiliście na naszą stronę internetową. Być może również obejrzyliście jedno z naszych ogłoszeń telewizyjnych, które sponsorujemy w miesiącu grudniu i styczniu w języku angielskim, hiszpańskim oraz polskim. Jeśli natomiast nie mieliście okazji ich obejrzeć, możecie to uczynić na tej stronie!
W pewnym sensie Pan Jezus wzywa nas ciągle do „powrotu do domu“. Pragnę przytoczyć kilka innych zaproszeń, które Pan wystował i nadal zachęca nas: „Przyjdźcie, a zobaczycie!“, Pójdźcie za mną!“, „Pójdźcie za mną a uczynię was rybakami ludzi!“, „Przyjdźcie do mnie wszyscy, którzy utrudzenie jesteście a ja was pokrzepię!“.
