Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) Workshops
Fall 2008– Spring 2009
All workshops are held at St. Charles Borromeo Pastoral Center, 402 S. Independence Blvd., Romeoville, IL 60446, and are open to council members, commission members, staff, clergy and general audience exploring a possible future council ministry.

In addition to the above workshops an additional Leadership Series is offered: You will benefit by better getting to know yourselves as a leader, and will be inspired in regards to how you apply your leadership skills and how you exercise your leadership roles at your place of ministry. |

Growing Our Ministry – A Leader’s Opportunity Parishes need to get out of the program mindset and into a vision of organically growing ministries. This session will focus on calling people to ministry, helping them to discern gifts and wed gifts to needs, and offering proper training and formation for ministry. Wholistic stewardship of time, treasure, and gifts will be explored. Servant leadership, leading by serving, will be explained.
Fr. Patrick Brennan just celebrated the 35 th anniversary of his ordination as a priest in the Archdiocese of Chicago, currently serving as pastor of Holy Family Parish in Inverness, IL. He is the author of 15 books, hosts a weekly radio/TV show (Horizons), and is passionate about the topics of evangelization, Small Christian Communities, giftedness, neighborhood ministry, and visioning – just to name a few. He holds a Licentiate in Sacred Theology, a Doctor of Ministry degree, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. |
