COMMISSIONS
There are four Council commissions: Education, Worship, Service and Administration. Commission responsibilities include reflecting on the major challenges, opportunities or obstacles that confront the diocesan church; determining possible action; proposing recommendations, and preparing reports of commission activities.
- Those who serve on the Christian Education Commission understand the need for continuous, life-long Christian education for all members of the Church centered in the Word of God.
- Those who serve on the Christian Worship Commission recognize that the Eucharist is the center of our worship and life.
- Those who serve on the Christian Service Commission realize the need to reach out and respond to human needs as well as to put into practice the social teachings of the Church.
- Those who serve on the Administration Commission know that the stewardship of Church resources is necessary for building and maintaining gathering places as well as providing necessary programs where all can worship, learn and share their gifts of time, talent and treasure.
