Press Release 4/4/2005: Diocese Holds Special Masses for the Pope

DIOCESE HOLDS SPECIAL MASSES FOR THE POPE
Joliet, IL (April 4, 2005) Upon learning that the Pope will be buried on Friday, April 8, the Diocese of Joliet announced times of special Masses offered for the Holy Father. At 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Bishop Joseph L. Imesch will celebrate Mass for the Pope at the Cathedral of St. Raymond, 604 North Raynor Avenue in Joliet.
Also on Friday, Bishop Roger L. Kaffer will offer a Mass at 6:00 p.m. at St. Rose Parish, 486 West Merchant Street, Kankakee. The same evening, at 7:00 p.m., a Mass will be celebrated at Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, 36 North Ellsworth, Naperville by the Very Reverend Joseph J. Tapella, Vicar General.
Persons unable to attend these Masses are asked to contact their local parish for times of Masses or times of special prayer services offered for the Pope.
