MATRIMONY: SACRAMENT OF ENDURING LOVE
In this Diocese of Joliet Year of the Eucharist,
there is a ready-made opportunity to connect Eucharist and Marriage.
As one of the three "Sacraments at the Service of Communion",
Marriage consecrates the couple and provides grace
to accomplish their particular mission in building up the Church:
to create and educate children - new members of the Body of Christ -
to take their place at the table of the Eucharist.
