Goals of the Year of the Eucharist 2010:
• To bring about spiritual renewal in
the Diocese of Joliet
through the
Eucharist and all liturgical life
• To foster appreciation for the Sacrament
of Penance
• To prepare for and implement the
revision of the Roman
Missal by
placing the revision in its proper
theological,
spiritual, and pastoral
context
• To reach out to Catholics who have
distanced themselves
from the
Church and welcome them home
• To participate in the worldwide“Year for Priests,” declared by
Pope
