Disciples Making Disciples & Mid-Year Retreat

Disciples Making Disciples:Diocesan Catechist Formation Day, a program from the Religious Education Office of the Diocese of Joliet, is an overview of what it means to be a catechist.
You will explore:

  • How did God call you to your vocation as catechist?
  • What is Catechesis? Where do we get the content and what are the teaching methods?
  • How is Christ the Teacher your model for teaching?
  • Four roles of the catechist: Storyteller, Teacher-Companion, Leader of Prayer, Witness for Justice
  • How should Catholics read the Bible?
