Evaluation of Religious Education Texts The evaluation process is simple, but intense. Committees comprised of catechetical leaders and teachers who are invited to participate in the process. Appropriate samples and evaluation forms are sent to each member of a committee. Each member is to scrutinize the texts based on the evaluation form criteria. The committee gathers and begins to seriously compare notes and comments. The curriculum director is present throughout this process. The Religious Education Office maintains the right to deny evaluation of texts as well as the right to challenge the recommendation of the committee. 2006-2007 Evaluation of Religious Education Texts: (PDF)*
