April is Child Abuse Prevention Month - logo

In 1982, President Reagan proclaimed April to be the first National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and that tradition continues today.  The Pinwheel is the national symbol of child abuse prevention efforts.  It represents the innocence, joy, and fun which should be the experience of all children.  Blue Pinwheels, ribbons, and bows, often used and seen during April, are traditional symbols of child abuse awareness.
